  Sony Digital Betacam Deck issues

  On the sony DVW-M2000 digibeta deck, when I try to edit to tape from Final Cut, the error it keeps giving me is “unable to lock servo on deck, please adjust device preroll setting. Also, the “stop” button is flashing green. I checked the composite and reference cable and everything seems to be in check. Any suggestions?

  Flashing stop button can signify a problem with reference signal.
  Maybe the cable is OK, but is the signal that’s supposed to be coming through the cable OK?

  switch reference to input video.
