  UVW 1800 error code 02-674

  After vacation, fired up the Sony UVW 1800 and inserted a 60-minute client tape. The tape wouldn’t play, wouldn’t eject; the deck displayed Error 02-674.

  I followed the advice in this forum to get the tape out. I also ran the diagnostics, and everything seemed fine (though I ignored everything that said “use a screwdriver”) EXCEPT for the first comment, as follows:

  “T-Reel Error: T-Reel FG could not be detected while in Play/Rec mode.”

  Should I be concerned? The deck seems to be playing fine now, though with an older master (1999) it seems to make more noise than usual.
