Am I on crack? Not quite yet, maybe tomorrow. Hear me out, If you have a better option let me know.

We have a rolling table that has 6 XLR connections, 2 CAT 5 connections, 3 Video connections, and a couple of low voltage connections 6 wires total (12 volt i think).

Our facilities guys are having a heck of a time connecting and disconnecting all that stuff, most of the time they get it wrong.

I’d like to simply the situation by installing some type of universal quick-connect, sort of like a DT-12 connection. I know that will handle the 6 XLR connections, probably the 6 low voltage wires, but do you think it’d be possible to put the CAT 5 through it too? I know the video is a lost cause. This would get the problem down to 4 lines, that I think they can deal with.

Or is there something better I should be looking at? How about some type of fiber inter-connect?

    Thanks.
