I’ve key framed layer 1 to move from right to left across the screen.

Now I’m parenting layer 2 to layer 1.

When I parent it to this layer, it repositions it off screen. It didn’t used to do this. It would be fine. But I can’t even move layer 2 around once I’ve parented it to layer 2. It didn’t used to be this way.

Did I switch something that I don’t know about?

These are usually a simple matter of changing the anchor point of the child layer.

but I cannot reproduce your problem here. Suggest you study the manual on Parenting very carefully. Establishing a parent/child is time-dependent.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
