  • Syntax for -timestamp paramenter?

My took some avi-videos with my digital camera while overseas and I would like to change the timestamp, as I forget to set the camera’s clock to the new time zone.

I see ffmpeg has a command-line option for setting the file’s timestamp, but I have no idea what date/time format to use. I’ve tried various combinations such as 2011-10-27 12:13 but to no avail. I understand the word ‘now’ can also be used, but -timestamp now, -timestamp ‘now’, and -timestamp “now” all fail. I am assuming the video and audio can just be copied.

    Thanks for any suggestions.
