Not rendering a mask out properly.
So the top screen shot is from AE
The bottom is from Avid.
For some reason, AE is not rendering out a mask correctly.
As you can see, the curtain pulls back and reveals the next scene. The curtain element was shot in front of a green screen but didn’t key out as well as I’d hoped. So, I used a little mask to help it along.
It looks fine in AE when I do a RAM preview. Anyone know what might be happening in the final render process?

The curtain element is a 3d comp. All the layers within the comp are 3d. I have the continually rasterize switch on. I tried slipping an adjustment layer in between the curtain and another layer to see if that’ll do anything.
I’ll know after it renders.

UPDATE:
Well, I have no idea what’s wrong. I tried pre-comping layers, removing what I thought would be the offending layers, rearranging layer orders, rendering out the curtain layer and then reimporting it as a .mov.
Nothing worked. Like I said, it would RAM preview fine, but would always render out bad. I ended up doing a full res RAM preview of the scene and then just saving the preview.
