    Hi,

I’m shooting video in the portrait orientation and want to rotate it when I transcode my camera’s files to prores. So the video is shot at 1920×1080, and I want to rotate the file 90 counter clock wise, outputting a 1080×1920 file.

I know I can do this in an editing program, but would like to do it to all my files during the intermediate process so I can stop turning my head sideways when previewing footage 🙂

If I do this in MPEG streamclip, setting custom output to 1080×1920, rotating 90 CCW, it looks like this:

this is my MPEG streamclip settings:

    Here is the original file:

I tried changing the “center” option, but couldn’t find the right coordinates. I have a feeling this is where the mistake is, but I can’t figure it out.

Anyone out there ever do this sorta thing?

    Thanks!

    Try these settings:

Note the new destination setting via MPEG Streamclip v1.9.3b8.

    Good luck!
