  Compositing problem

  Hi.
  I’m trying to composite a new footage over an old (like 50 years old) piece of movie.
  Color correction, contrast, edge, everything is fine; but I still have a little problem.
  When I magnify my composition up to 1600%, I can clearly see my brand new footage has almost twice the lines of the older one.
  This make the composite not fully convinging, at least for me.
  The whole composition is SD PAL.
  I think I should render the new footage with a smaller resolution, and then composit it again over the older, but before I start a long and annoying trial/error process in order to find the right resolution, codec, compression and so on, I think is better to ask here.
  Maybe someone has had the same problem before.
  Any hint?
