I have an 8 minute video to upload to YouTube and have tried a few of the suggested methods of compression. The file is 8GB ProRes 422 1440X1080. I want it to upload as 1920X1080 h264. When capture the footage to FCP I transfer it to ProRes via firewire but it doesn’t change it to the 1920X1080. In compressor I select H264, restrict rate to 8000, resize to 1920X1080 and de interlace with best settings. I’m left with a 10 hour compression time on a new iMac. Any suggestions on how to speed up the process or better success with different settings for the same file type?
