  compression with Cinemacraft SP 3:

  Hello everyone–perhaps someone can help me. I have a 2 hour file edited in Premiere 5.5-the master file was rendered with the 24p codec. The footage was shot in 24p advanced mode on a Panasonic AGDVX100A. Now I want to compree the file for a DVD. i am going to use CinemaCraft SP 3. Can someone give me the BASIC settings for the BEST looking DVD possible? (frame rate/pulldown/mpg settings, etc) Once again–24p footage. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

  I don’t have cinemacraft in front of me – but whether or not you use that or Adobe Media Encoder:

  At 120 min…560/# of mins
  560/120 = 4.666 mb/s using AC3 audio.
  Make sure you go 2 pass VBR encoding
  Do not deinterlace.

  Wherever you’re authoring the DVD needs to know it’s 24fps, and it’ll do the framerate insertion for you.
