  Black and White HD to SD DVD

  I’m trying to make a DVD of an 80 minute Black and White HD documentary shot in 720. I exported a QT movie and made an mpeg2 in compressor. In compressor I upped the bitrate to around 8 and changed all the frame controls to Best.
  Now, I know an SD DVD will not be nice as HD especially when the DVD is played on a computer, but this looked particularly bad. I suspect its the black and white that is giving compressor/dvd studio pro problems. The contrast gets destroyed and the image is very grainy. Any ideas/suggestions?
