Serious playback issue on Quicktime MOV and Raw Video File
Hello, and please forgive me if this is the wrong forum on which to share my problem.
I do sporadic editing and video tasks at work and I’m told to do a quick edit of a compressed file. I find that it plays only black with audio only, obviously a codec issue.
Before I go on I’m working on a:

I try to load the raw clip and it tends to crash what its imported in.
My QT player is updated, everything on the QT end is current to my knowledge. On another big video dev box the files play fine (though with some nasty interlacing). I am at a loss as to what codec I need to get this thing running normally on my box.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Any guidance would be enormously appreciated.Jonah
