    Hi,

i have a film produced with after effects, working on a mac. now our client has to get a wmv-file with a 5.1 audio track.
i tried several ways to achieve this: rendered a QT movie with animation codec, encoded this to a wmv clip, then added the 6 sound layers in QT Pro. But naturally i ended with a wmv and 6 audio tracks in a QT container, which the clients system wouldn’t take.
Then i tried to add the audio layers to the QT animation film in discreets cleaner 6 via multiple file source and render a wmv with wma professional 5.1 directly, which cleaner just didn’t do.
Lastly i read something about the windows media encoder, but this only takes wm audio appearently and even with wma i didn’t get it to work ;(

anyone has an idea which way to realize this?

would be very lucky for a hint, please excuse the bad english 😉

5.1 audio otherwise known as surround sound – the step you are missing is the authoring of the discrete surround channels.
