Problems converting my .MOV file
Hello. I have a slight problem converting my mov files to mpeg4 or mpeg2 for dvd. My raw files were .mov, which I’ve edited with After Effects and Premiere and used Quicktime PNG all the time. Now, everything is fine, but my 12 minute clip is a few gigs in size, so whenever I convert it to something else, I get the same problem. The quality is okay, but the image has less contrast, and has a “washed out” look.
Here’s an example : https://img8.imageshack.us/my.php?image=creativecow.jpg
On top is a screenshot of my .mov, the one on the bottom is an mpeg4. And I get that with anything I convert it to. I use Adobe Media Encoder btw, and I’ve played around with the settings and nothing changes.
I am aware you lose quality when converting from 5 gigs to 300-400 mb, but colors should remain the same.
The weird thing is, when uploading the mpeg4 to vimeo, the contrast is back again, like nothing happened.
Any suggestions?
