    Hey there,

I’m compressing DVCPRO 720p60p to a web file for my website. I’m still pretty new with compressor and dont’ know if I should use Quicktime 7 H.264 Streaming or Web Videocast.

What would be the best to use? And also I’d like to know what’s the difference!

    Thanks everyone

    Simply put,

Streaming files are delivered from a dedicated streaming server as RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) where as ‘web’ files are delivered just like any other file over the web from a bog-standard web server as HTTP, this type of delivery is also known as progressive download.

On most cases you’ll want a standard HTTP web download file.
