  • compressor thinks it is not installed

I am on a Mac system with a FCP Studio 2.

When I try to use Compressor, either directly or from FCP, i get the message
“please restart your computer or verify your compressor installation is correct.”

    did the restart. No change.

verify the install? Is this code for reinstall?

it looks like compressor and acts like compressor until i “submit”.

    Background
this is an upgrade to studio 2 from 4.5 HD via “upgrades” only.

intel quad core, 3gig processors, 12 gig ram. fully upgraded!

    HELP!
