    Been encoding on my Mac with Compressor with decent results – I understand there are better pieces of software out there, but Compressor works fine for my needs :-).

    BUT – new workflow whereby I will need to compress Fraps-encoded AVI footage on my PC to Quicktime codecs – is there a comparable piece of software that runs on Windows XP? Price not too much of a concern, but would like to know the diff pieces and their price points so I can make an educated decision…

    Procoder from Canopus – cheap.
    CarbonCoder from Rhozet – expensive.

    Plus a whole bunch of free or very cheap apps like Super from eRightStuff
