Compression Book to buy?
I am in desperate need of help with working out the settings I need to use when compressing clips.
A book that can talk me through different setting techniques for resizing and compressing my video clips. At the moment I am reading every forum to do with Sorenson Squeeze, Episode Pro, After Effects, Photoshop CS3 and Final Cut Pro.
My work flow is – resizing and / or compressing clips for the web, dvds and tv.
They are normally asking for Flash, QT and Mpeg-4s.
I know there is not one “all in one setting” but what book can I buy that will be able to teach me the things I need to know in order to do these things with ease and confidence oh and SPEED!Hope this all makes sense..

Sometimes you just need someone to say which book or what ever to get. A lot of info out there, it can bend ones brain a little at times.

It’s a DVD-ROM tutorial and it’s specific to Compressor but that may be useful to you if you’re going the FCP/Compressor route.

not to schill my own book, but i did just have a book on compression published by Peachpit called Real World Video Compression. I think the cheapest price on its on Amazon right now:
Brian’s Ripple Training is great by the way – if you are specifically using Compressor, I suggest trying it out.
