    Okay I’m stumped.

We are a broadcast facility and trying to avoid using videdotape.

we acquire using digital cameras, import via firewire or sdi Edit FCPS 2 and then push to our
Master Control using a “NEXGEN” system.

Here’s the problem. After the edit we drop a broadcast safe filter(level set at 99%) on everything and send it to Cleaner 6.5. Make an .m2v of it and push it to the system.

when the system gets it the levels are HOT, reading as much as 120%

I’ve checked the compressor settings, nothing added to brightness or gamma

We’ve tried adjusting the filter to be more aggressive with no change.

    Anyone run accross this problem???

I would avoid using cleaner for MPEG-2 encoding at all costs.

Try removing cleaner from the equation and see if your results are better.

    It’s a London thing.
