    Hi guys,

I’m sorry if this is a silly question and I’m just not thinking clearly, but I’m having a problem I can’t solve.

I am creating a 7 second, 15 frame animation in after effects for a 1080i spot. I am creating it as a 1080 hdtv project, 29.97 frames a second in a comp set at 7:15. My audio with markers matches up to picture when scrubbing, but when I ram preview, everything is out of wack. My animation plays half speed, like it’s playing 60 frames a second, and the audio “sound” finishes before the layer ends… so it’s like my comp is playing half speed.

when i render out at 1080i, everything is fine… what am I missing? I’m sorry… I know this is probably a very simple answer and I’m just not thinking clearly, but I’d appreciate some help as I’m on a deadline. I need to be able to ram preview in real time.

    Thank you!

    I answered my own question…

I remembered I had changed my video preview to 1080i output from my Kona card to preview on my broadcast monitor… changing that back to SD fixed everything. Not sure where the issue lies in that, but I’ll figure that out later.. at least now I can work in real time.

    indeed,
AJA and Blackmagic cards can’t preview Full-HD at 25 of 29.97 fps.
Tested them both and confirmed by Blackmagic (didn’t call AJA)

weird ! my 4year old Parhelia does the job !

After Effects is strangly ignored when it comes to HD

    cya,
