  Large dimesnion H.264 – Can’t compress with Squeeze 4.5.3 or Compression Master 4.0.2

  We do content for large screen/multi-screen events. We prepare uncompressed quicktimes through FCP HD and AE 6.5 which I then have to compress to various formats. I have an uncompressed QT 8bit which is 3084×1024 which will be played out across 3 screens from a Macbook Pro and a Matrox TripleHead adaptor. I can export an H264 .mov out of QT but this is slow and doesn’t give me many options but it does give a useable file.

  I have tried using Squeeze 4.5.1 and Compression Master 4.0.2 but they both just error out. Are there some special settings which I need to pay attention to in order to get these files to output H.264 at unusual sizes?

  File size isn’t important but it must be best quality and 25fps. What should I be using for Keyframes setting?
