Graphics Compression
The DVD I am currently authoring involves a number of motion menus with sometimes spindly animations, very small/thin text and finally, hard edged graphics set on diagonal lines. When the designer created these in AE they looked beautiful (obviously) but we all know that when you get into the NTSC world things change.
I’ve convinced them to drop the spindly animations, but the 1-2 pixel thin text looses a lot of quality (I’m talking whole sections of the characters) and the hard edged diagonal lines suffer noticeably as well on the final DVD.
I was wondering if there are any particular tricks to use when compressing graphics, such as the ones I listed above, for use in DVD Studio Pro.
Thanks,
Dillon
