In the vain hope someone can be of assistance…

I’m attempting to compress a 20 minute program for creation of a DVD. I’m using SS 4.2.

Each time the compression gets near the end, it stops and gives me this message:

“the movie file “” cannot be found. Without this file, the movie cannot play properly”.

We’ve tried a number of things, all to no avail.

    Sound familiar to anyone?

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Tim

I’m using Avid Media Composer v1.6. It is being brought in as a Quicktime Reference.

I will say, as an update, that we changed target directory and drive, and have now been able to compress the spot for use as a DVD.

    Go figure.

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Tim

Sorenson Squeeze is a great compressor however it doesn’t recognize QuickTime reference movies. You’ll need to export it as a .mov or.dv
