    Hello folks,
I am getting some DVCPro50 vision digitised for me because I don’t have a correct VTR. What sort of file should I be recieving? I have a 200G HD so I don’t want it to be recompressed to save space. Is it like a quicktime or AVI? or some native format?

    Cheers for the info

I think you should have told them what you needed. Could be wrappted in Quicktime, AVI or the “raw” DVCPro50 stream. Not sure what you can “expect” since it’s your responsibility to communicate what you’d like to them. How are they to know what you need? You may have handed yourself extra work by not telling them.

DVCPro50 is twice the data rate of DV25.
