  Duplicating edges

  Hi I’m new to the cinema 4D. I’m trying to model the skateboard at first but here’ s the problem
  Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  Video Tutorial says the layer can be duplicated AND extended if you keep clicking the ctrl key and drag the selected both sides of the edges
  >>>then the skateboard’s uplifted part can be made.

  But in my case, it simply extended to the both sides : no duplicated edge
  I’m using Cinema4D lite in After effects.

  works here but I don’t have Lite to test. You can either hold cntrl before you start to scale or after you start to scale but you still have to have cntrl pressed when you let go of the mouse button
