  Cannot load AERes1.DLL

  I have searched the forum on this phrase and haven’t been able to find it.

  “Cannot load AERes1.DLL”

  That’s what I get on AE CS3…I’ve experienced it on and off on this particular machine (Dell M90 lapstation), and have sometimes solved it with a machine reboot, sometimes with a reinstall…I recently rebuilt the system from scratch on this machine and had CS3 running in its out-of-the-box state until last night when I ran the updates to bring all the apps up to date…and there the damn thing is again.

  Whatever it is, it prevents AE from launching.

  Thoughts?

  easy fix, just google “windows install cleanup”
  run cleanup and remove AE CS3 from window box, then re-install AE and it’s all fixed.
  what happened is that installshield files got corrupted.
