    Hey every body!
I am currently working on a project in which I need to create a Hexagonal mesh fence and use as a cylindrical object that encloses another object. I am currently using R13 C4D and I have tried many different ways to solve this problem, such as using a Alpha Material texture, cloning, and even using a plane object and using that as the object in a cloner and then just scaling the plane to get my mesh in the proper geometric shape. While that method works if I were to use it for a flat projection, I can’t figure out how to either make it cylindrical such as using a bend deformer or a wrap as none of those methods have obviously work out. If someone can please explain to me how I can do this I would greatly appreciate it, and thank you in advance!

I attached the work file to show what it is I am trying to do.

    Kind Regards

I would create one hexagon mesh and then put that in a Cloner in radial mode. Once you get it set up the way you want, duplicate the cloner and use the radial offset to get the proper alignment for the second row. Then place both cloners in a third cloner to create the full fence.

    Thanks! That certainly worked!
I don’t know why I didn’t think of that, but sometimes the simplest solutions is right under our noses.
