I’ve done greyscalegorillas intro to cinema and the project, which was just deep enough to realize how much I still don’t know. Where do you go to learn advanced stuff? Or maybe better.. where do you go to learn basic (and advanced) but in great detail.

Most of the tutorials just adjust some sliders, type in values but don’t really specify what are they doing or how did they choose this particular solution. I don’t want to memorize everything but also understand what it’s going on. I am interested in thinking involved and also in the general, but also in in depth explanation of what each option/tag/attribute… does.

I hope this question makes sense.
    What are your recommendations?

Maxon US’s Cineversity has hundreds of tutorials ranging from basic to advanced. It’s a paid service, though, unless you have a maintenance agreement.

Lynda.com has a lot of Cinema content as well.

There’s also a ton of stuff, albeit of uneven quality, on Youtube.

Tim Clapham does some very good Cinema tutorials (some free and some $$): https://helloluxx.com/
