    Hey Guys,

I have to make a hexagon mesh pattern with specific dimensions.  I tried creating a hexagon and using the array and duplicating it, etc. but I couldn’t get the right consistency.  I ended up getting Xpresso Pattern Maker which is great.  I have a nice consistent pattern however I’m unable to scale the mesh down with the scale tool.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

    Hey Man,

thanks for responding. Uhm, I’ve tried that a few times but it will scale down a bit and when I release the mouse it goes right back to the original size. I’ve also tried scaling it down below in the numbers area but when I hit apply it doesn’t.

The xpresso tag is driving those values then, thats why you can’t scale.

I suppose you could either open the xpresso tag, find the links and remove them…or scale down by the values the “plugin” offers.

Or maybe put it all inside a null and scale that?

The Honeycomb you see with the black background is one I already did. However I did it by creating a hexagon and copying/draggin/grouping/repeat and it’s uneven and not uniform.

The other images are where I’m at right now with Pattern Maker. I need the hexagons to be specific measurements and uniform.

    Okay, nevermind, I found it.

Hey I checked out your website. Nice one my friend! I’m a video person more than a 3D modeler myself. Here’s my reel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV-ozXvnjAs

And yeah I know, I need to change the music.
