hey guys1 I am working on a project and I would like to get this image made in C4d. It is a microscopic look at the heart muscles. I tried some tests with the tracer object but I am not really that satisfied with it…any thoughts how i can pull this of?

    cheers guys1

it looks like a trace of particles (with some pretty fine control over where they go – xparticles is my first thought) with a transparent texture – whether that could be done with a hair material or if it would have to be a sweep off the trace (or xparticles spline mesher) is one was to do it, so it sounds like you are moving the correct direction but the texture is going to be important (not to mention the lighting etc)

yeah, i have looked up turorials and they all had particles but I dont have any of these pluggins, i am getting the grips to it with the tracer object but the end result is not exactly what i wanted

it would be easier in xparticles to move the particles around but check out the Thinking Particles (if you have it) the presets have some Effectors that could work. If you are limited to standard particles it would be more difficult but perhaps not impossible
