Hey guys, I’ve been slowly playing around creating a school of fish for a job.
Modelled a fish, added bend deformers on repeat to make it look like its moving,
Used Xpresso (which I’m relatively new to) to create an emitter with Thinking Particles, which follows a position along a spline and I’m using the fish as the custom object it is emitting.

It looks rather good, but one thing that annoyed me is the fact that the school of fish go through one another.
So I added a collider body to the “Particle Geometry” and been playing for hours and can’t seem to get it to work.

Either the fish knock each other off the path and they float into oblivion forever, or once they touch they go haywire and start spinning like crazy.
Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this mess?

Wait for around 80 frame mark, then it looses it.

    Help!

Why don’t you use the particle collision effector that’s already in the scene? Seems to work fine if you assign particle group ALL to both Group A and Group B.
