  Change starting time on the timeline?

  I’m building a project with a total duration of 80 seconds, because of the camera movements all of it has to be one really long lasting shot in C4D. Problem is, the first scene will be cheated in AE (quick zoom and fade into 2nd scene), so the long timeline in C4D goes from scene 2 (7 seconds in) until the end of the video.

  In AE I’m able to change the starting time/frame of any comp without affecting the duration, so instead of starting at 00:00:00 I start at 00:07:00, for example, so when I reach the next change of scene I know I’m at the correct time.

  Obviously I could keep track of this with pen and paper, but I thought it was worth to ask if there’s a way to offset the starting time in C4D? It will make things so much easier.

  sure, the start time on the left of the timeline (the viewport mini-timeline) can be anything (as long as the end time on the right is something higher)
