I’m currently working on a project where I’m using rendered MOVs inside of C4D (added to planes as a material, with an alpha channel). The MOVs consist of text animations along with a picture of a candidate in each one. For some reason the pictures are all looking very washed out and I know I’m missing something here. Any ideas? For reference Im working in AE CC and C4D 16 on a 12-core MacPro…

Do you have specular turned on for the materials? If so, turn that off. Tends to wash out images and videos.

    Glad to hear it.

I have a strong dislike for specular because of this exact situation many years ago.
