  • How to apply a mograph effector to a random selection of clones?

    hi

i’m sure there is a super easy answer for this, but i’m totally baffled…

i have a simple 3x3x3 grid of clones. i’m passing a plain effector through it to make only a random selection of the clones turn a full 90 degrees. but how do i do this?

    C4D file attached.

In the attached file I set the Shader Effector to use 3D noise, heavily clamped. It’s affecting color as a visual guide, but more importantly it’s Parameter>Weight Transform is set to 100%. The plain effector’s weight is set to 0% in its falloff tab.

Because of the above, and because the Shader Effector is first in the cloner’s effector list, the Shader Effector controls the weight that’s applied to the Plain Effector.
