  • Content Browser: bits and pieces, or subsets of scenes?

Posted by Eric Chard on December 5, 2013 at 8:49 pm

I’ve looked at the documentation and UI, and don’t see a way to do this (yet), so:

Using the Content Browser, iss there a way to import only small bits and pieces of a c4d scene, like ONE (1) specific material, rather than dragging & dropping the scene onto the Material Manager and getting ALL the materials in that scene?

Similarly, is there a way to import just ONE object (or hierarchy) from a scene, and not all the objects?

    Thanks!

open in a new project and copy and paste the bits you want into the working project

So, that’s a “No”. I was hoping to avoid loading the scene, although it’s more of an academic concern than anything else, since Loading seems fast. I worry about performance slowdowns though.
