  • Find a sound special track?

Posted by Craig Ricker on October 30, 2013 at 5:44 am

Simple question. I’ve applied a sound special track to an object in my scene which I was animating to. I would like to now delete that sound, but cant find what item I attached it to…

How can I find it to delete it?

In the timeline, activate View>Link>Timeline/OM Selection. Then, in the timeline, select the object that has the sound track on it. It should now be selected in the object manager.

Thanks mate that helped heaps and I was able to delete the sound. It didn’t however help me find the sound originally. So if you forget what layer the sound is attached to, I guess you just have to go through each item.

Pays to be organised. lessen learned.

    Thanks

For future reference, if you click the eye icon at the top-right of the Timeline it opens a filter window that lets you choose what type of tracks should be displayed. Just turn off everything but sound and that should lead you to the culprit.
