Does anyone know if the plugin from Maxon (https://www.maxon.net/?id=1372) that allows exporting of Camera Tracker data etc. from After Effects to C4D works from Ae CS6 <> R15.

Their page of course only says Ae CC exports to R15 and Ae CS6 up to R14.

We only have access to Ae CS6 still, so want to know if it works with R15 at all?

If not, does anyone know how else we might achieve the same result?

I’d appreciate any input on this subject.

To answer my own question, and hopefully to help anyone else with the same question, the plugin for CS6 R14 also seems to work with R15.

We finally found someone with R15 that could test for us, so apologies.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, it does not work with R16 and AE CS6 and there doesn’t appear to be any new plug-in on Maxon’s site for those two versions. Not cool. A workaround that worked for a dinky project I’m doing now is I opened the R16 project in R15 and saved the compositing project from there. It was a very simple project so I can’t testify if it will work for more complicated ones or not. I still did the render in R16 though because of the new rendering stuff like reflectance that don’t transfer back to R15. I hope Maxon is working on an update.

Use the plugins that were installed with R16 in the Cinema R16>Exchange Plugins>aftereffects folder.

    I’m still somewhat of a C4D noob…
