  • Create outline texture for 3D object

    Hi there,

so I have a 3D object of a bottle in cinema 4d. I want to create an “outline” look, kind of like a wireframe, but with very few lines. Something like this:

I know there are ways to do this when rendering, but: I am using the .c4d file for further processing in After Effects (through Video Copilots Element 3D), so I need the look to be burned into a texture (at least that’s the only way I can think of this might work). Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Please note, I am not too familiar with Cinema 4D.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best!

Unless the object and camera are static, I don’t see how baking the texture could work for the object outline.
