  Deboss Logo into Cylinder

  I’ve dug around without too much luck.

  Anyone have a simple way to DEBOSS (letters pushed IN) with a soft edge!

  I have a Chrome Cylinder that I need to add a text to that has a soft edge (rounded) and then a hard flat inner part.

  I found something online that is close. I’ll replace the leather with chrome.

  with soft edges it’s probably easiest to do it with a blurred text texture map in the displacement channel using sub-poly displacement. Here’s a fairly crude example – a better texture map would give better results…
