  Making a surface change colour when an object collides

  Hi

  I’m trying to make an object change the colour of another object (or just one of its surfaces) when it collides with it. Does anyone have an idea how this might be achieved or be able to point me in the right direction?

  One way to do this is to use the Proximal shader. Other than that you can use Xpresso’s collision node to trigger various events.

  Hi,

  thanks for your reply. I’ve not used xpresso before, so i’m not too sure how to set up the collision node etc. Ill give the proximal shader a try first, I see there are a good few threads about it.

  If you have any advice on where to start with the xpresso that would be a great help! I really want to learn how to work with xpresso as it seems such a powerful tool.
