  • how can i set the same axis for multiple objects?

I have a bunch of rectangles and i want to set the axis of each rectangle to a single coordinate. In this example I select my rectangles, i click the button to enter axis mode, and then I use the coordinate manager to set them to 0,0,0. The problem is that it sets the center of my selected axis to 0,0,0. I want EACH axis to be at 0,0,0. Is there a way to do this?

the rectangles have to be editable for that to work

I believe they are? They’re poly caps from an extrusion.
I’ve tried a workaround of creating nulls at [0,0,0] and then dragging each of my rectangles into them one by one (it works but is tedious). Essentially i want to throw all these rectangles into a fragment object and give them a random scale, but they all need to scale from this same [0,0,0] coordinate.

select all the rectangles (only the rectangles – no parent nulls). Do a Connect Objects + Delete then set the axis of the new object like you were doing in your vid to 0,0,0 – select all the polys and then run Mesh/Conversion/Polygon Groups To Objects
