I still pretty new to C4D but this seems really odd for such a basic model.
What would be causing the round part of this model to distort and have a seam through the middle when rendered as in these screen caps?
    Thanks

I re-created what I did using the same techniques in a new project and now it doesn’t happen, but thanks anyway.
Are weird rendering errors common or occasionally occurring in C4D?

    Thank You

weird renders no, weird construction is an ongoing problem but that mostly is in the form of multiple vertexes sharing the same space for no reason, multiple polys in the same space just errors by inexperienced users typically but most people go through that. I don’t know what your problem was haven’t seen anything like it. You can get different looking renders if you are using one camera for the viewport and another (with different settings) for the render…
