    Hi,

I’ve rendered out a number of animation that took about 5 hours each. Only after did I realize that some logo overlays that were simple planes did not render out. I figured out why.

So now, rather than rerendering everything, I’d like to just render out those logo planes. I know i need the composting tag, but I’m not sure how to use it.

The logo planes are placed on all sides of a building, so i need the parts that are ‘blocked’ by the building to not show.

The first image is the building with the logos

The second is just the logos
and you can see how they need to be obscured by the building

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!!

    Thanks,
    Ari

Enable the ‘Matte Object’ property on a compositing tag applied to the building object. This will render the ‘Color’ into the RGB channels and render black (not visible) in the Alpha channel wherever the object is visible to the render camera.
