Is there a way to trace an object on a Spline Wrap to another object?

It only seems to trace to the original location, bypassing the effect of the Spline Wrap position.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Attached is a scene file illustrating my problem.

if you have clones you can get the position of one of them with an XPresso Mograph Data node, then attach a Null to your clone using that and put the Null in your Tracer… the problem with that solution is that the trace ‘lags’ behind the actual position of the clone. No change by changing the Priority of the Xpresso… the Tracer itself may be responsible but I don’t know that for sure.

Thanks Brian, that’s a really helpful trick!

I found that my particular problem may have been simpler…

I ended up just turning the objects into polygons and threw the tracer at the bottom of the stack…..everything’s working fine now.
