I have seen posts in the C4D forum on this topic, and even though they have been helpful it hasn’t cleared up my problem. I have a scene that contains a City Rig and Softboxes from Greyscalegorilla. The city’s material has illumination enabled and is assigned a color. I keep getting heavy noise in my shadows and some highlights. I have Ambient Occlusion and Global Illumination on. I tried messing with the minimum and maximum samples under Ambient Occlusion based off of a previous cow post. It did help a bit but did not fix the problem. I also tried increasing the Area Shadow quality on my soft boxes. That also did not help. I’ve also tried changing some of the material Illumination settings and Global Illumination; as well as tried changing the sampling mode to Per-Pixel QMC (read that online as well) the render time is brutal.

I’ve attached some jpgs of my project. Any help would be really appreciated, I’ve hit a wall here.

    Thanks!
