    Hi guys,

I’m trying to create a line that starts off straight, but animates to music – I’ve watched Andrew Krammers project where he does something similar to what I need – however I don’t have Trapcode Particular and don’t need something so flashy – What I guess my question is, is it actual possible to make a straight line in after effects become squiggly, perhaps by distorting it somehow? and then having control over this distortion with key frames?

hope that makes sense – its been a long day!

I can’t find the tutorial, but I’m pretty sure you can do this with vector paint. Do a search.

    Hello,

Aharon Rabinowitz has a helpful 2-part tutorial here:
    https://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/waveform_1.php

I don’t believe it requires anything outside of After Effects.

    Good luck!
