I’ve got an interesting problem. And I’ve searched the web and the COW Archives for an answer, but nobody else seems to have experienced it.

I’ve loaded a voice over track of audio into C4D using a null object, choosing special track from the context menu fly out in the timeline and selecting sound. I’ve added my audio file which is a 44.1kHz, 16bit file. and the audio loads waveforms and all into my timeline. If I hit the ‘Play Sound’ button in the Attributes Manager, the audio files plays fine. But if I press play on the timeline, the audio track plays, but it skips and jumps as it plays.

Here’s an example using the following sentence for demonstration purposes: “See the way Jane runs.” So this sentence would play in the timeline like this: “See the way, the way, Jane, Jane, run, runs.”

Its really odd. Yet, as I said before, if I hit the ‘Play Sound’ button in the Attributes Manager under the sound file, it plays just fine.

Any thoughts? Hopefully this is a stupid question and its something easy.

Thanks for your help Creative COW community.

I got my answer from another forum. It turns out that I had ‘All frames’ activated in the timeline, which was prohibiting me from playing the audio realtime. Once I deactivated ‘All frames’ it played fine.

If you want to read the forum thread from https://www.c4dcafe.com, I included it below.

This might be a super dumb question, but wher do I uncheck all frames? I just can’t seem to find it.
