I am trying to make flags that were built from an Adobe Illustrator file wave in the wind. I have built square flags before using a plane and a cloth tag to make them flap. The cloth tag wont work on the flags I built this time (Each flag is a group of several hundred individual polygon objects). C4D won’t let me make each group editable, and when I try to connect the objects the materials disappear. Any help would be appreciated, as I am still very new to the program. I have attached some screenshots if that helps.

it would make things a lot simpler to make the flags just the shape and add the text and logo as a texture.
