I’ve been working on a little CGI animation but i’ve came to a sudden holt. I need to animate a drink can. I’ve just used a basic cylinder shape and made a label for the material.

The thing i’m stuck on is that, I dont want the material to cover the whole can (just the sides). I also want to add another material to the tops of the can.

So basicly how do I add 3 different materials to the top, bottom and side of the can…

    Appreciate any feedback

Select the polygons you want covered by a given material and then drop the material onto the object in the editor window (not the object manager). That will automatically create a polygon selection tag and apply the selection to the texture tag.

You can also do it manually by creating polygon selection tags via the selection menu and then draging them into the selection box of texture tags.
