I just did an animation that involved bunches of criss-crossing tubes that move towards each other. I added a light and rendered it out at full 1080p resolution, 300 frames. As the entire composition moved everything looked fine UNTIL the tubes started to move towards each other. The shadows then started strobing and behaving weirdly.

Is there some easy answer that I’m missing here when it comes to shadows and animation? The animation was rendered out to the Cineform HD codec. Should I be using something else like a tiff or jpeg sequence?

Thanks for any help on this.
